The Gits
Back in September the internetz was showing The Gits documentary for free. The doc details the rise of a Seattle punk band whose much-loved lead singer was brutally murdered as they were about to get the legendary attention that the rest of the Seattle grunge scene saw. It's incredibly sad but it promotes a very important nonprofit called Home Alive which teaches women practical self-defense. Watch it if you can find it.link
