bmore news roundup

MEH sent me a bunch of Baltimore-themed articles because that's his job and he's professional at it. Along with the most recent post (about the movies) we have these two. One is about craftwerk and the other is a piece from The Daily Record about the Preaknasty. I don't think anyone is underastimating how important the Preakness is to Baltimore and what losing it would mean. The race itself is older than the Kentucky Derby and even though it's the shortest of the three Triple Crown races it can be the most dramatic. If your Derby winner can't perform in those 9 and a half furlongs then your Triple Crown dreams are over. Not to mention the local trainers that skip the big races to train their sprinters specifically to unseat the Derby winner at the Preakness and get their hands on the $1 million purse. Maryland has to save the Preakness and they have to keep it in Baltimore. We can't lose these horses like we lost the Colts.
